RECENT TRANSACTIONS

SOLDRory’s Restaurant & Bar, 416 Boston Post Rd., Darien, CT.  Rory’s has been sold to Bryan Malcarney, who is also the owner of Blue Lemon in Westport, CT.  Bryan will maintain the name, and the casual pub/bar concept and menu.  The sale included the real estate, which also includes a 2 bedroom home on the property. Capital Restaurant Group exclusively represented all parties in the transaction.  Sales Price: $2,745,000.00.

SOLD: Dry Dock Restaurant, 215 Main Street Norwalk, CT. Capital Restaurant Group exclusively represented both the buyer and the seller in this transaction.  Dry Dock has been a landmark restaurant and bar under the same ownership for the past 30 years in Norwalk. The sale included the business and the real estate.  Sales Price: $1,300,000,00s

SOLD:  Milano Ristorante, 250 Westport Ave., Norwak, CT. Joseph Scarpiti, who is the owner of Positano Restaurant in Westport CT, has purchased Milano Ristorante.  Scarpiti plans to convert the restaurant into a casual theme Italian/Pizza Restaurant.  Sale Price:  $170,000.00

SOLD:  Ole Mole Mexican Restaurant, 2074 Black Rock Tnpk., Fairfield.  Greenwich based Garden Catering has purchased the assets and a new lease of the Ole Mole Fairfield location, and will convert the storefront into a Garden Catering operation, making this its 8th location in CT.  Sales Price: $75,000.00.

 

SOLD:  Ciao Restaurant & Wine Bar, 5 Ives Street, Danbury, CT.  This long standing restaurant/bar has been purchased by Raffael Ormeggio, who is the former director of food services for Hartford, CT based Hot tomatoes Restaurant Group. Capital restaurant Group exclusively represented both the buyer and the seller in this transaction.  Sales Price:  $135,000.00

SOLD: George’s Pizza & Restaurant, Real Estate and Business, 1 Dodgingtown Rd., Newtown, CT.  The new owners, who also own My Place Restaurant in Newtown, have purchased George’s including the real estate consisting of the 2,500 square foot restaurant, a residential home, and another commercial building, on about 1 acre of land, and located directly on Rt. 302. Sales Price: $1,350,000.00.

 

SOLD: Café Madrid, 25 Atlantic Street, Downtown Stamford, CT.  This busy dance club, night spot, which also serves Spanish Tapas dishes, has been sold.  The new owner has assumed the long term lease and will maintain the current operation.  Sales Price: $200,000.00.

 

SOLD: Nobe Restaurant & Bar, 35 Lake Avenue, Danbury, CT.   John Rugovag, former owner of Mulino’s in Fairfield, CT has purchased Nobe.  The restaurant & bar had a successful 3 year run, and was known for its New York City design and feel. Upon completion of a few minor renovations, the restaurant will open with as a fine dining restaurant & bar, along with a new name.  Sales Price, $420,000.00

 

LEASED/SOLD:  Former 95 North Italian Restaurant, Norwalk (Rt. 1) 4,600 S/F Restaurant & Bar, in the West Norwalk Shopping Plaza.  This former restaurant & bar came fully equipped and furnished sold for $130,000.00 key money with a new 20 year lease.  The new owners have changed the theme to an American Pub & Bar.

LEASED: Former Taranto’s Restaurant, 487 Glenbrook Rd., Stamford, CT.  4,000 S/F well known Glenbrook Restaurant-Bar location.  The new owners have signed a 20 year lease, and after extensive renovations have opened Big B’s Beef & Reef.

SOLD:  Panino’s Pizza & Trattoria, Rt. 25, Monroe, CT.  This 30 seat, open kitchen, bring your own wine trattoria, opened five years ago and has consistently enjoyed a brisk business from the start.  The new owner will maintain the name and concept, while adding more innovative dishes to the menu and offering home delivery. Sales Price: $125,0000.00.

 

SOLD:  Former La Strada Ristorante, Rt. 25 Monroe, CT.  The owners of El Coyote Mexican Restaurant & Bar, have relocated from Sand Hill Shopping Center, Newtown, after purchasing the assets of this restaurant-bar, and have reopened with great success.  Sales Price: $85,000.00.

 

LEASED:  Downtown Stamford, CT.  6,000 Square Foot Restaurant-Bar, in the Hampton Inn & Suites, Mill River Rd.  Norwalk Resident Lou Poladoro, who also owns Pazzo Restaurant in Westbrook, CT, has signed a long term lease for this former restaurant space in Hampton Inn & Suites.  After extensive renovations, the restaurant and lounge has opened and is now known as Rulu’s River Café.

LEASED: 4,200 Square Foot Former Restaurant-Bar on Railroad Ave., Downtown New Milford, CT.  The new tenants have signed a new long term lease and totally refurbished this former Restaurant-Saloon, which was built in 1900 in the bottom floor of the old Young’s Hotel.  The original large saloon style bar and back-bar was refurbished and brought back to its original luster.  The new restaurant is now known as Milano’s Italian Restaurant & Pizza.

SOLD - Paisan’s Restaurant & Pizza, Kent Green, Kent, CT.  This Restaurant / Bar/ Pizza business enjoyed 13 years of consistent business has been sold.  The new owner will maintain the current operation upon opening after renovations are completed. Sales Price, $185,000.00.
